Women in Leadership

 

In the tradition of Debora who led Israel as a Judge, in the tradition of Miriam who was a priestess and worship leader, and in the tradition of the women at the tomb who were the first to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, our women serve the Church in every possible way. Our tradition has been celebrating the calling of women in to ordained ministry since the 1800s. We have women serving as Elders and Deacons (we also let men help take care of children and cook!), celebrating the gifts God gives us. No light is hidden under a bush at Mt. Summit Christian Church.
